I’m about to attempt a 20-hour challenge sitting in a 2-metre square box — no phone, no talking, just me, a chair, a journal, and my very loud inner monologue. That’s right: all the constant “blah blah blah” running in my head is about to meet… silence.
This is my tiny attempt to peek into what life can feel like for someone living with Borderline Personality Disorder (BPD) — the emotional rollercoaster, the chaos, the “why am I crying over a sock?” moments.
BPD is often misunderstood. People experience mood swings, fear of abandonment, impulsive urges, and chronic emptiness — usually while their brain is running a 24/7 commentary track. Mindfulness and silence help: noticing thoughts without judgment, pressing pause on the chaos, and actually hearing… nothing
Small challenge, big statement: mental health deserves awareness, understanding, and maybe a little humor along the way.
If you are someone who has had experience with mental health challenges then would love for you to donate to help more young people.
Thanks
