I'm taking on 20 Hours for 20Talk.
To raise funds and awareness for mental health charity 20Talk, I’ll be stepping out of the noise—and into a 2m² box—for 20 hours. No talking. No technology. Just me, a chair, a journal, and my thoughts.
Why? Because this challenge offers a small glimpse into what it's like to feel alone with your thoughts—something far too many of us experience when struggling with our mental health.
As a new mum and someone who works in social media, I see firsthand the pressures and unrealistic expectations placed on people—especially young people. The glossy highlight reels we scroll through don’t show the full picture. And too often, they isolate us further.
Mental health matters. And I believe the only way forward is by talking—openly, honestly, and from a place of peace.
The stats are still heartbreaking:
Suicide remains the leading cause of death for young people aged 15–44.
Only 2% of mental health funding goes towards prevention (Mental Health Commission, 2022).
That’s why I’m supporting 20Talk, a youth-led charity changing the game through relatable, prevention-based education.
Your generous donation helps:
Put young people through Mental Health First Aid training
Expand 20Talk’s digital resources and social media reach
Fund large-scale, interactive mental health events
Together, we can change lives—before they reach a crisis point.
Thank you for supporting me in this challenge and for backing such an important cause. If you ever need someone to talk to, I’m always here.
With love and gratitude 💛
