20 Hours For 20Talk | Sunday 29th March

Amanda is taking on the 20-hour challenge to support youth mental health and raise awareness about the importance of prevention.

On 29th March, I will be taking part in 20Hours for 20Talk.
I am doing this in honour of Kyah a beautiful young woman, who once worked for me. Her spirit, kindness, and quiet strength left a lasting impression on my heart, and this feels like a meaningful way to carry her memory forward.
Participants sit in a small 2 x 2 metre space with only a chair, a swag, and a journal — in complete silence — for 20 hours. No phone. No conversation. Just stillness, reflection, and intention.
I am also doing this as a way to give back for the support I’ve received during my own journey living with chronic illness. Pain and fatigue have changed my life, but they have also shown me how powerful compassion and community truly can be. I wouldn’t be standing here — or sitting there — without that support.
