Twenty Hours. No Talk. No Tech. Just Thought.
On the 6th of December, I’ll be taking part in 20 Hours for 20Talk—a challenge where I sit in silence for 20 hours in a 2m x 2m square inside a giant warehouse. No technology is allowed; all I’ll have is a journal, pen, camping chair, sleeping mat and swag.
Let’s be real: twenty hours is a long time to keep my mouth shut. I’m a writer, a facilitator, a professional rambler. My words are my way of processing the world. So to choose silence? That’s a challenge. But that’s also the point.
I’m curious — what happens when all that noise goes quiet?
What ideas might surface when I’m not performing, explaining, or responding?
How much creativity will crawl out of the corners when I stop filling every pause with words?
I suspect there’s something powerful hiding in the stillness. It's going to be fucking hard... but ’m here for it.
I’m doing this to raise money for 20Talk, an incredible organisation helping young people break the stigma around mental health. The conversations they’re sparking are exactly the kind I want to see in the world—brave, honest, messy, and full of heart.
If you can, please support my fundraiser (and this experiment in disciplined chaos). Your donation will help 20Talk keep doing their vital work—and keep me from talking my way out of twenty silent hours.
Here’s to a day of quiet rebellion.
Every little bit counts!
I’m doing 20 hours for 20talk... because mental health deserves time, space, and support.
Every dollar you give helps young people feel heard, held, and less alone.
I’m showing up for 20 hours of action, and your donation carries me through.
Thank you. Truly. Your contribution is fucking powerful.

Good on you for doing this! So proud to know you!
