20 Hours of Silence to Break the Silence ❤️
I’m taking on a challenge to raise funds for mental health charity 20Talk where I’ll be sitting in a 2m x 2m box for 20 hours with no phone, no talking, no distractions. Just me, a journal, and a chair.
Why? Because for many people, struggling with mental health can feel exactly like this - isolating, heavy, and hard to escape.
The stats are still really confronting:
• Suicide is still the leading cause of death for young people aged 15-44.
• Only 2% of mental health funding goes towards prevention.
That’s why I’m doing 20 Hours for 20Talk. The money raised goes directly into their prevention campaigns - making mental health education cool, relatable, and accessible for young people, by young people.
Your donations help:
• Put young people through a one-day Mental Health Maintenance course ($120 each)
• Expand 20Talk’s resources and 60,000+ online community
• Run big, interactive mental health events that break stigma and get people talking
The goal is to improve mental health literacy, reduce stigma, and encourage people to reach out for help before they hit crisis point.
