My biggest reason for doing this!
I live with a chronic illness, and it has affected my mental health in ways I never truly understood until I went through it myself. For years, I watched my sister struggle with her own mental health, and as much as I thought I understood I couldn’t fully grasp what she was going through. It wasn’t until I faced my own challenges that I truly began to understand the weight she carried.
If I could go back, I would be more patient, more compassionate, and better equipped to support her. That realization has become one of my biggest motivations to help others build that understanding before they find themselves in a similar place. Mental health struggles can feel invisible and isolating, not just for those experiencing them but also for the people who want to help but don’t know how.
I hope that more people can gain the tools, empathy, and perspective to support themselves or their loved ones through the hardest times. For me, this has sparked a passion to educate and guide those who may not face mental health struggles personally so they can better understand, connect, and make a difference for those who do.
