20 Hours For 20Talk

Dom is taking on the 20-hour challenge to support youth mental health and raise awareness about the importance of prevention.

What's This All About?

Friends, on September 6th I'll be sitting in a 2x2 metre square for 20 hours in total silence.

This is an awareness campaign dedicated to reflection. There'll be 250 of us participating at the Claremont Showgrounds with access to only a journal, a pen and a swag.

20Talk are a community-focused charity with its roots in Western Australia, providing mental health outreach and relatable education for young Australians.

I'm taking up the challenge for the teenagers I support at work; those who are homeless, living with trauma, and have little capacity to improve their own emotional wellbeing on top of an already seriously unstable lifestyle.

We all know it begins with engagement and education, and it's programs like these that allow disadvantaged youth the opportunity for emotional stability they didn't know was possible.

All donations go toward 20Talk's mental health maintenance scholarships for young adults.
