20 Hours of Silence — For the Voices That Were Never Heard
On June 28th, I’m participating in the 20 Hours for 20Talk challenge — sitting in complete silence for 20 hours inside a 2m-by-2m square. No phone. No conversations. Just me, my thoughts, a journal, and a pen.
I’m doing this for the people in my life whose mental health battles were often fought in silence.
For my aunty, who tragically lost her life to suicide.
For my family members who live with depression, anxiety, ADHD, and other invisible struggles — the kind that don’t always get seen or understood.
This is my way of honoring them — by sitting in stillness, reflecting on the noise that so many carry inside, and helping raise awareness for youth mental health through 20Talk.
