How am I’m going 20hours without music!? 🤯
I was doomscrolling as per usual and came across a reel (big surprise) about 20talk. I had never heard of these guys ever but very quickly I was in - I couldn’t have been quicker to hit register.
Mental health can be one of the most isolating and soul crushing experiences to work though. Everyone is impacted somewhere by mental health whether it be yourself, your friends/loved ones, colleagues or just somebody that you used to know. There are so many incredible resources out there - but how do you pick the right one? How do you even integrate that when you find it!? That’s where 20talk come in providing a new strategy in mental health maintenance free for youths 19-30.
What a better way to bring awareness than to isolate myself with 250 others in silence, cut off from everything but well.. me. A physical representation of a place my mind has experienced at its lowest. This is going to challenge me in all the best ways - mentally and spiritually. The power of this challenge is already apparent - how am I going to sit with myself for 20 hours no music, no chatter? Who am I going to discover in myself with no where else to run? But more importantly, wow - how many people are affected day to day by mental isolation? How many people experience this feeling even when they’re free to talk and walk and doomscroll?
