I’m taking on the 20Talk Challenge—20 hours in silence, in a 2-meter square box — no phone, no distractions, no talking. Just me, a journal, and my thoughts (scary).
For me, this is more than just a challenge.
I’m doing this for my brother, Alex, who I lost in January to suicide.
Losing him has left a hole in my world—a pain no one should endure. I want to honour Alex by raising awareness, starting conversations, and supporting those still here.
This challenge is my way of giving back. Of putting myself in discomfort (for those who know me- I can’t stay silent for more than 1 minute + adhd) to reflect, to sit with the weight of my thoughts — and to hopefully help others feel less alone in theirs.
Mental health matters. Suicide is preventable. And no one should have to suffer, or feel alone.
