From Surviving to Thriving: My 20Talk Fundraiser Journey for Youth Mental Health

Hey everyone – Jenna here 👋

I’ve always had a lot to say – stories, thoughts, passion, opinions – you name it. But this September, I’m doing something that might surprise you.

As part of the 20Hours20Talk Challenge, I’m going quiet. Not forever – just for 20 hours, a powerful symbolic act to reflect inward, strengthen my mental resilience, and most importantly – to shine a spotlight on something that deeply matters:

I’ve been blessed to have support: kind, professional mental health advocates, a loving community of friends and family, and tools like meditation, mindfulness, and soulful events that helped me reconnect with myself.

I’m proud to say…

I’m no longer just surviving.

I’m living. 💛

Now, I want to help others feel that same shift – that spark of light at the end of what can be a very dark tunnel.

This challenge isn’t just for funds.

It’s for hope.

It’s for growth.

It’s for the Jenna who used to feel lost – and for every other young person who needs to know: You’re not alone.

Let’s make noise for mental health…

In Memory of My Brother in Heaven

I’ve lived with depression and anxiety, and there were days I could only keep going thanks to caring mental-health workers. I’m deeply grateful for their help.

Losing my brother to suicide was heartbreaking for our family. My wish is that this fundraiser gives someone else the strength to hold on—to find hope where my brother felt none.

Together, we can build brighter futures for young people across Australia, so parents can cheer their children’s milestones instead of mourning their loss.

I hope for more change, inspiration and dreams lived for all my lovely family and friends who are my strength and my pillar
