Why I’m Participating in 20 Hours of Silence for Youth Mental Health ☺️
For years, I’ve struggled with my own mental health. It’s been a journey filled with highs and lows, moments of clarity, and times when I felt completely lost. Through it all, one thing has become clear to me, there's still so much stigma around seeking help. That’s why I’m taking part in 20 hours of silence in support of youth mental health. Too many young people suffer in silence, afraid to reach out due to fear, shame, or the belief that they should “just deal with it”. But mental health is just as important as physical health, and no one should feel alone in their struggles.
By staying silent, I want to highlight how isolating it can be when we don’t feel safe to talk about what we’re going through. My hope is that this small act sparks bigger conversations- ones that encourage understanding, support, and action. Seeking help is not weakness; it’s strength. And no one should have to fight their battles alone.
