Giving My Words a Break, So Others Can Find Theirs
On 6 December 2025, I’m taking on a deeply meaningful challenge: 20 hours of silence inside a 2-metre square in Melbourne. No talking. No phones. Just me, my thoughts—and a purpose that matters.
This isn’t just a stunt—it’s part of 20 Hours for 20Talk, a powerful mental health initiative aiming to raise $dollars to fund 2,100 Mental Health Maintenance scholarships for young adults. Every participant, including me, is aiming to raise $1,000 minimum to help make that vision a reality .
Why this matters:
Silence can be loud: It’s a glimpse into the loneliness and overthinking that many young people face—especially when help feels out of reach.
Prevention over crisis: Only 2% of mental health funding goes toward prevention. I’m trying to be part of the solution .
Tangible impact: Every $300 raised can send someone through a two-day Mental Health First Aid course. $50 reaches thousands with awareness campaigns
