20Hours for 20Talk

Hello People!!!!

I'm Nehara, and this December 6th I will be taking part in a mental health project called 20Hours for the 20Talk org. I, along with 399 others will be sitting in my own square for 20 hours, with nothing but a notebook, a pencil, complete silence and my own mind.

I think that mental health and the stigma still surrounding it has made it difficult for us, especially young people, to reach out or even identifying what we are struggling with, before it goes too far. I would like to contribute by making it easier for us as young people to reach out, and not think twice about it.

I know mental health issues have affected so many people around me (including myself), and I would like to take a step towards making things better.

In terms of the challenge I realised I needed to put my phone down, as it was consuming so much of my life, that I wouldn't have a chance to live and experience it for myself. Perhaps its something we all may need to do.
