🕊️ Why I'm Sitting in Silence for 20 Hours
For 20 hours, I’ll be sitting alone in a 2m x 2m square.
No phone. No talking. No technology.
Just me, a pen, and paper.
Why?
Because too many young people are suffering in silence.
Because we need to change how we talk about mental health — or more importantly, how we listen.
Because connection and early support can save lives.
I’m taking part in the 20 Hours for 20Talk challenge — a powerful initiative by 20Talk, a youth-led mental health charity focused on giving young people the tools, voice, and community they need to thrive.
As a parent, friend, and human who cares deeply, I want to be part of the change.
I’m stepping into stillness to raise awareness, but also to reflect on what mental health means to me — and why this work matters.
My goal is to raise $1000 to support 20Talk’s school programs, peer-led resources, and life-saving education.
