Why I’m Taking On the 20 Talk Perth Challenge
If you know me, you know the last few months haven’t been easy. It’s been a rough time, and going through it has made me realise just how important mental health is — especially for young adults.
That’s why I’m doing the 20 Talk Perth Challenge.
This challenge is about raising awareness for mental health and reminding people that they’re not alone. Too many young people are struggling in silence, and I want to help change that. I’ve been there myself recently — and I know how tough it can get. But I also know that things can get better, and support makes a massive difference.
Within my work environment I witness many people suffering from severe mental health issues. People spiralling and suffering each day. Lots of individuals need support networks like this to spread awareness to realise they can reach out for help!
I’m doing this to start conversations, to show support, and to hopefully make someone out there feel seen and heard. If you’re going through a tough time, please know this: you’re not alone, and it’s okay to reach out.
Let’s talk more, listen better, and support each other.
