From Silence to Strength
From Silence to Strength
I’ve carried a relentless mix of PTSD, anxiety, depression, and overwhelming responsibility—battles fought in silence, shaped by a world that rarely acknowledges them. This challenge reflects what living with mental health struggles feels like—isolating, overwhelming, suffocating.
Mental health defines our ability to cope, connect, and hold on. I’ve lost too many people I love because stigma keeps us silent. It’s a pain that lingers, one I wouldn’t wish on anyone else.
Self-awareness matters, but it’s not enough. We need the space, resources, and support to manage mental wellbeing before crisis takes hold.
On June 28th, I’ll step into a 2m x 2m space—no talking, no technology, no distractions. Silence won’t be endured; it will be reclaimed. This isn’t just a challenge—it’s defiance. I’m confronting stigma, isolation, and the expectations that have trapped too many for too long. For the first time, 249 others will join me—each carrying their own battle, each saying, “Me too.” We are not sitting in silence—we are breaking through it.
And for me, this is where the cycle ends. The suffering in silence, the weight of generational trauma—it stops with me. My daughters will not inherit this pain.
Make a Difference
Silence has taken enough. It’s time to take something back. A few seconds, a simple action—that’s all it takes to help change this conversation. Let’s make sure silence doesn’t take any more.
So proud of you for taking this challenge on for a course that is close to our hearts.
