Nervous for 20 hours of silence. 20 hours in a confined space. 20 hours of my own thoughts. 20 hours in my own head.

But I am committed to being part of something bigger than myself. Something of impact, on people I may never know.

Contributing to make an impact. To hopefully make a difference to one young persons life, with their battle with mental health. Maybe even more than one.

The growth in mental health issues is MASSIVE. I see it in our  younger kids every day. It has impacted life on a daily basis and it's toll on not only the person struggling, but on their familly, friends and broader community. EVERY SINGLE PERSON can influence during crisis..... never under estimate your role. You are seen and appreciated more than you know.

Our young kids of course grow into older kids, young adults and older adults. Mental Health trauma does not discriminate. Everyone needs a hand to hold, a heart to show compassion and a safe space to be heard.

It seems unfathomable to me that I can raise  $1000. But if everyone taking part manages this goal, thats $400,000 😳 support, resources, training. To help during the most vulnerable of moments. One day it may be you, your child, your parent, sister or friend. It's scary as hell. 

I want to help....as small as my part may be, I'm determined to do this. 20 hours will be confronting, challenging and perhaps overwhelming.
