Why I'm Embracing Silence to Support Youth Mental Health

In today's society we are always plugged in, chatting, scrolling it's non stop. Silence can feel rare, yet it’s in these quiet moments that many young people face their biggest battles alone. As a youth worker, I see firsthand how many young people are struggling, feeling overwhelmed, or believing they have to carry it all on their own.

This challenge is symbolic of that silence. It represents how isolating and overwhelming it can feel when you are not okay and don’t know how to ask for help. But the money raised is going towards changing that. Funding mental health support and early intervention for young people in need.

MY WHY? I’m passionate about creating safe spaces, honest conversations, and real support for our youth. Mental health is serious, and this is one small way I’m standing up for the young people who need it most. That’s why I’m taking part in this challenge, to reflect, raise awareness, and support youth mental health.
