I’m 34, a mum of 3, a wife, a daughter, sister…. The list goes on. 

Supporting youth mental health is deep within my heart, having my own struggles as a teenager into adulthood and not having enough support around, I was one of the lucky ones that got through unfortunately not unscathed however. 

I’ve lost family to suicide both young and old, friends that felt life was just too heavy to keep going. Loved ones I see and speak to everyday that are still struggling so much but help is too hard to obtain wether it be financially unavailable, time, shame or just too hard because support feels like too many hoops to jump through. 

I want my 3 boys to grow up in a world where mental health issues aren’t taboo to speak about and help is easily and readily accessible. 

Because suffering alone, inside your head is one of the darkest, loneliest, most dangerous place you can be. 

I want to do the things my mother was unable to do due to mental health, if she had the help, without the stigma I believe she would be here today. 

It’s time for the to change. 

In this day and age with the pressures of the cost of living I understand how hard it is to donate and find any spare funds. 

The way I see it… strength in numbers….. 

if we all donate something small even $1 but band together we can raise big and make the changes we need. 

Every bit helps
