Why 🩵
On June 28th, I’ll be participating in something that’s both deeply symbolic and profoundly personal—20 Hours for 20Talk.
For 20 hours, I’ll be sitting silently in a 2x2 metre square, with nothing but a swag, a chair, a journal, and a water bottle. No phone. No distractions. No talking. Just 20 hours of silence, reflection, and presence.
Why?
To honour the silence that so many people live in every single day when it comes to their mental health.
To shine a light on the conversations that often go unspoken.
To raise awareness for the people who feel alone, unseen, or unheard in their struggles.
20Talk is a youth mental health organisation working to break the stigma and create real, honest dialogue—especially for young people. This fundraiser is about stepping into that silence with purpose, and using it to create meaningful change.
Mental health has played a huge part in my story. I know what it’s like to feel overwhelmed, invisible, or like your voice doesn’t matter. This is my way of standing up—by sitting down—and saying: you’re not alone. Your story matters. And there’s a whole community fighting for a world where you feel safe enough to speak.
If you feel connected to this cause, I’d love for you to sponsor me. Every dollar raised goes directly toward programs that support mental health education and advocacy.
Together, we can help make the silent struggles visible.
Together, we can turn stillness into change.
