20 Hours of Silence - Unplugging to Reconnect.
I’m so excited (and a little nervous) to be taking part in 20 Hours for 20; 20 hours in silence, with no electronics or talking, in a 2x2 metre square, to raise money and awareness for mental health.
I’m taking part because mental health is something that matters deeply to me and to so many people I care about. Spending 20 hours in silence is a small challenge compared to what many face daily with their mental health, but it’s a way I can show support, raise awareness, and contribute to positive change.
This challenge is about slowing down, being present, and reminding ourselves that connection and care, whether for ourselves or others, are essential. For me, it’s also an opportunity to unwind, reset, and reflect on my own mental health and what I want for my future moving forward.
Every donation makes a real difference. $200 can put a young adult through a one day Mental Health Maintenance course, providing them with practical tools and support to face life’s challenges.
I’m proud to take on this experience and so grateful for anyone who supports me, whether that’s through donating, sharing, or simply sending good energy my way. Here’s to taking 20 hours to find some peace, and hopefully helping others find theirs too. 🧡
