I’m fundraising for every single person who has been hurt, silenced, or broken by the abuse and toxic norms within the performing arts industry. I know I’m not alone—and that’s exactly why this matters. Too many have suffered in silence, believing that pa
I was raised in an industry that taught me to stay silent. To push through the pain. To accept abuse as part of the process. And for years, I did. I was manipulated, broken down, and stripped of my sense of worth—all under the illusion of discipline, tradition, and excellence.
That kind of trauma doesn’t just leave bruises on your body—it lives in your mind, your nervous system, your sense of self. It nearly destroyed me.
But I’m still here. And I refuse to be quiet about it anymore.
This is personal. I know I’m not the only one who’s been affected. I know too many others have lived through the same kind of pain, thinking they were alone. That’s why I’m doing this. To raise awareness. To tell the truth. To show just how much we NEED to talk about what’s really going on behind the scenes.
So I’m taking on a challenge:
I’ll be sitting in a 2-metre-square box for 20 hours—no phone, no talking, no distractions. Just me, a journal, a chair, and my thoughts. A small but powerful glimpse into what it can feel like to live with mental health struggles—isolated, overwhelmed, stuck.
I’m doing this to raise funds for 20Talk, a mental health charity creating real change through prevention-focused education, resources, and campaigns. Because the stats are heartbreaking:
Suicide remains the leading cause of death for people aged 15–44
Only 2% of mental health funding goes toward prevention
And still, so many feel like they have nowhere to turn
Your donations will directly support:
One-day Mental Health Maintenance courses for young people
Expanding 20Talk’s online resources and 60,000+ strong social media community
Large-scale interactive events that make mental health education real, honest, and accessible
If my story, my challenge, or this cause resonates with you—please donate, share, or reach out.
We need each other more than ever. And if no one’s told you lately—you matter. More than you know.
With love and fire,
Tiana
