Hey friends!

I’ll be partaking in the 20 hours for 20 talk challenge to raise funds and awareness towards mental health.

As someone who relies heavily on their phone and is easily distracted by a busy life, sitting in silence for 20 hours with nothing but a swag, water bottle and journal will be challenging. But to make the 20 hours a little more interesting (and hopefully incentivise some donations) I’ll also be doing a challenge of my own; matching the funds raised with an equal amount of push ups 🥴 One push up for every dollar donated.

But these dollars don’t just result in a progressively more painful chest for me… They provide free fortnightly mental health workshops to young adults, run mental health first aid courses and organise presentations to over 100 high schools.

Spreading awareness towards mental health is an important topic to promote because in one way or another everyone has their own internal battles, but not everyone has the tools to overcome them. 20talk aims to education young adults on mental health and provided them with the fundamental tools towards wellness, and these fundraising events make that happen.

you probably don't remember me, but about 2 years ago we met on our way to the airport. you and your friend were incredibly kind to me when I was having an anxiety attack and gave me the energy to power through another 12h long trip.
