Zoe is taking on the 20-hour challenge to support youth mental health and raise awareness about the importance of prevention.

My first fundraiser and why it matters:

On the 6th of December I will be voluntarily stepping into 20 hours of complete silence within a 2-metre square. No phone, no talking, just me and my thoughts and the challenge of sitting with the uncomfortable quiet.

This challenge is important to me because we live in a world that is louder, faster, and more 'connected' than ever before. But young people are reporting much higher rates of loneliness and feeling lost. We rarely stop just to be with ourselves.

As a full-time yapper, sitting in silence is going to be a challenge. I am grateful but also nervous to be representing the purpose of this experience, as it is designed to give a tiny glimpse into the quiet struggle, isolation, and the relentless noise of overthinking that so many young people face. This silence also represents the gap where help should be for those young people.

My goal is to raise $1,000. By reaching this target, I will be funding a portion of scholarships that 20Talk aims to provide. I obviously cannot reach this goal without the support of those in my inner and extended circle. I greatly appreciate any help by donation or sharing my page.
