Hey guys its Tilly 🩷, most of you know ive got ADHD and am studying a bachelors of counselling, making mental health something really close to my heart. Through my own journey, work and volunteering experiences, I’m very aware of the challenges alongside mental health. This cause is something i’m super passionate about, and I hope to contribute to a society that is more open, healthy and supportive.
We have all been touched in some way by the reality of mental health. It can be dark, lonely, confronting and the statistics are still alarming..
🤍 Suicide still remains the leading cause of death for young people aged 15-44.
🤍 Only 2% of mental health funding goes towards prevention (Mental Health Commission 2022)
Sooo… once again Ive signed myself up for this pretty wild challenge. I’ll be sitting in a 2 m² box for 20 HOURS, with no technology and no talking. Just me, a journal, a chair, and hopefully some fidget toys. This challenge is a small way of reflecting what it can feel like to struggle with mental health, and shows a glimpse of how real and isolating it can be. Im hoping my experience, and everyone elses involved can spark awareness (and some $$) while pushing myself, for such an important cause 🩷
Your contribution goes towards 20Talk's relatable prevention campaigns:
- Every $120 puts a young person through a one day Mental Health Maintenance course
- Expanding 20Talk's online resources and 60,000+ social media community
- Running large-scale interactive mental health events
20Talk is a mental health charity that makes education cool, adaptable and accessible for young people by young people. All contributing to crisis prevention by improving mental health literacy, removing harmful stigmas and encouraging professional help-seeking.
Thank you for taking the time to read this post and for donating to the cause. Hopefully this small challenge can help change someone’s life.
If you ever need to chat, I’m always here. Love you all and thankyou, Tilly 🩷

All the best for Round 2 ❤️
