A little message from me
At the start of this year, I told myself I wanted to challenge myself… and well, here we are.
If you know me, you know I’ve had a love–hate relationship with my mental health for as long as I can remember. You also know I physically (and mentally) cannot sit still or stay quiet for more than 10 minutes at a time… hello ADHD 😅
So naturally, to “challenge myself,” I’ve signed up to sit in a 2x2 metre square for 20 HOURS in complete silence.
No phone. No talking. No distractions.
Just me, a journal, a blanket, some water… and my own chaotic brain.
I’m genuinely concerned about the number of random thoughts and full-blown conversations I’m about to have in my head. Why did I sign up for this? Great question. Ask me again around hour 12 😂
I’m doing this as part of 20Talk’s 20Hour fundraising event. This incredible Aussie charity helps young people access essential mental health tools and skills that they can carry with them throughout their lives.
Mental health is something that has impacted me personally, and I know so many others feel it too. If you’re in a position to donate, any amount would mean so much. You’d not only be supporting a great cause, but also motivating me while I sit alone with my thoughts for 20 straight hours 😌
