20Hours for 20Talk
Hey everyone!
I’m excited to share that on September 5th, I’ll be participating in 20Talk’s 20Hours event.
Founded in 2018 following the loss of two friends to suicide, 20Talk is working to change the culture around mental health for young Australians. Through awareness, education, and early intervention, they provide relatable and engaging tools, training, and resources that empower young people to prioritise their mental wellbeing.
As part of the event, I’ll spend 20 hours in silence within a 2x2 metre square with nothing but a swag, a chair, a water bottle, and a journal. During those 20 hours, I’ll disconnect from technology and conversation, allowing myself to experience restlessness and boredom, sit with whatever emotions arise, and reflect by journalling throughout the experience.
As part of this challenge, my goal is to raise $1,000 to support 20Talk’s mission. If you're able to donate, no matter how big or small, I would be incredibly grateful for your support. Every contribution helps make a difference.
