No talking or technology for 20 hours !!!
At the end of March, I’ll be taking part in 20 Hours for 20 Talk at the Claremont Showgrounds.
For 20 hours, I’ll sit in a two‑metre square alongside hundreds of others. No talking, no technology, no distractions, just me and my thoughts (SCARYYY!).
Mental health matters to everyone. We all have tough days, quiet moments, and thoughts we don’t always know how to talk about.
What I love about this challenge is how simple it is. Hopefully, it gives me a small glimpse into what it can feel like to be alone with your thoughts, something many young people experience every day.
I’m doing this to clear my busy mind, challenge myself to step away from technology, and help raise money for youth mental health. The funds raised support early conversations and help make sure support is there before someone reaches crisis point.
