20 hour challenge!

For 20 hours, I’ll be sitting in a 2×2 metre square in complete silence - no distractions, no talking, just me, a sleeping bag and a chair.

But why? 

Somewhere along 2024 I realised I had this lingering heaviness and dread in my life. I lost my spark, I no longer found joy in things I used to love. I isolated myself and I couldn’t bypass any of my negative thoughts, which slowly became the 'norm'. 

In October 2025, I suddenly lost my anchor of support with my mental health, my beautiful Mum. I felt the world had shifted and I had forgotten how to breath, but amongst the unbearable grief and heartache, it ignited something in me... The true understanding that life is short and unpredictable. I had to seek support and find my spark again. 

So here we are seeking a positive and improved life and retraining my thought patterns and happiness. By taking on this challenge, I hope my silence is used as something more meaningful and I can make a positive impact to the world around me and the stigma of mental health in todays society. 

It is a reminder of how important it is to talk, to listen, and support tough conversations. Sitting alone with your thoughts is overwhelming, YET it’s also an incredible place for reflection, understanding and growth. 

I hope to raise $1000 to support 20talk’s mission to empower young adults aged 18-30 to integrate mental health tools and skills into their lives, where no one has to sit alone with their thoughts.

$200 Puts a young adult through a 1-day Mental Health Maintenance Course.

$1000 Helps reach 80,000 people online with a targeted social media ad to support comprehensive education.
