Supporting Mental Health, One Conversation at a Time
Mental health has always been deeply important to me. Having the right support can make a huge difference when navigating mental health challenges at any stage of life.
I’m someone who loves to challenge myself - mentally, physically, and spiritually. This became even more significant after an extended travel experience where I faced a lot of adversity. When you’re constantly on the move, support systems can feel limited, and it really highlighted how important it is to have the right tools, awareness, and the ability to show up for yourself and for others.
I’ve personally had my own mental health journey, and I’m proud of how far I’ve come. That’s why taking part in the 20 Talk Challenge means so much to me - it’s about raising awareness, building resilience, and encouraging real conversations.
Every donation, no matter the amount, truly counts. If you’ve ever felt like you’ve been in the same boat, I’d love your support - whether that’s by signing up, reaching out to have a chat or making a donation.
What is the Challenge?
I’ll be sitting in a 2×2 metre square for 20 hours with no talking and no technology — just the essentials. It’s a tough challenge, but one that offers a small glimpse into the isolation and struggles many people with mental health challenges experience every day. I’m doing this to stand in solidarity with them.
Why it matters
Mental health touches all of us in some way. Yet suicide remains the leading cause of death for people aged 15–44, and only 2% of mental health funding goes towards prevention. This challenge is my way of helping change that.
How your donation helps
Your support goes to 20Talk, a mental health charity focused on relatable, prevention‑based education for young people. Donations help fund:
- Mental Health Maintenance workshops
- Free online resources and community support
- Large‑scale, interactive mental health events
Mental Health Maintenance is a free, one‑day workshop that helps people better understand and maintain their mental wellbeing before reaching crisis point.
