WE DID IT!! We reached our goal!!
We did it, not me, not I, all of you amazing people who donated, shared my post and checked in. Your generosity means so much to me but this isn’t about me! It’s about the youth of today and the youth of the future and all your support will ensure they get a future of understanding, support, resources and most of all a future where they feel safe to talk openly!I’m 3/4 of the way there nearly
Eek, so many generous people for such a great cause. I am 3/4 of the way to my goal now. It’s amazing how trying to raise money for mental health, helps your mental health. I’m in a career where I help people for a living but to be able to also help people even in my personal life is something special xxx I am so excited for this challenge, and I think all those that know me are excited to not have to hear me speak for 20 hours!! lol.20 Hours of Silence for Youth Mental Health.
I’m taking on the 20 Hours for 20Talk Challenge to raise $1,000 for mental health awareness and support.
Mental health struggles can be incredibly isolating. Even when you’re surrounded by people, it can feel like you’re carrying the weight of the world completely alone.
I’ve experienced that loneliness myself through postnatal depression and anxiety. There were times when getting through each day felt overwhelming, and asking for help wasn’t easy. Looking back, I know how fortunate I was to have people who checked in, listened without judgement, and supported me when I needed it most.
Not everyone has that support.
That’s why I’ve chosen to take part in the 20 Hours for 20Talk Challenge. I want to shine a light on the reality that so many people are quietly battling mental health challenges every day. Behind the smiles and “I’m fine” responses, there are people who are hurting, feeling isolated, and wondering if anyone understands what they’re going through.
No one should have to face those struggles alone.
My goal is to raise $1,000, and every dollar will help support the important work of encouraging conversations around mental health and helping people find the support they need.
If you’re able to donate, thank you from the bottom of my heart. If a donation isn’t possible, sharing this fundraiser or checking in on someone you care about can make a bigger difference than you may realise.
Because sometimes, one conversation, one message, or one person saying “I’m here for you” can change everything.
Thank you for helping me turn my own experiences into something that might help someone else feel a little less alone. 💙

Go on Emma. Working in mental health, albeit occasionally, I’m well aware of the challenges faced by those, suffering in silence. Go and be their VOICE!
