20Talk Challenge
This challenge is a mental health fundraising initiative focused on encouraging self-reflection while raising vital funds for youth mental health support.
The core challenge rules are:
Silence: Participants must remain completely silent for the full 20 hours.
No Technology: Phones, electronics, and external distractions are not permitted.
Confinement: Participants must remain within a designated 2x2 metre space, only leaving to use the restroom.
Duration: The challenge runs for 20 continuous hours.
This event aims to highlight loneliness, encourage meaningful reflection, and raise awareness around mental health.
I am taking part because suicide and suicidal ideation have impacted my family deeply. The most heartbreaking loss was in 2012, when my cousin Brett died by suicide.
I truly believe we need to do more to support mental health and prevent more families from experiencing this kind of loss.
