20 Hours of Silence for Youth Mental Health.
20 hours.
No phone. No music. No talking. No Entertainment. No Distractions.
Just silence, sitting in a 2x2 square in a warehouse with only the essentials I bring with me: a chair, sleeping mat, journal, food and water.
I’m taking part in the 20 Hours for 20Talk Challenge to help raise awareness and funds for youth mental health.
My why?
This challenge is a small glimpse into the isolation and struggle that someone experiencing mental health challenges may feel every day.
Sitting with discomfort, vulnerability and our experiences is not always easy but meaningful connection and community can make an incredible difference in how supported someone feels through difficult moments.
I believe in helping shape communities where young people feel they have the courage, support and resources to seek help, build meaningful connections and know they do not have to navigate things alone.
