Sitting With Discomfort So Others Don’t Have To
I’m taking part in the 20Talk challenge to raise funds and awareness for mental health — and I’m doing it on my birthday.
Instead of celebrating the usual way, I’ll be spending 20 hours in a 2-metre square box with no phone, no distractions, and no escape from my thoughts. It’s intentionally uncomfortable, because mental health struggles don’t take a day off.
This challenge is about sitting with discomfort, starting real conversations, and supporting the vital work 20Talk does to ensure people can access mental health support when they need it most.
