This Men’s Mental Health Month, I’m taking part in the 20 Hours for 20 Talk Challenge with a goal to raise at least $1,000 for youth mental health.

This cause matters deeply to me.

Mental health is something many people carry quietly, often without others realising the weight of it. For young people, that weight can be even harder to understand, speak about, or ask for help with.

At my age, I know what it feels like to struggle with mental health. That makes me think even more about those who are much earlier in life, still trying to find their way, while dealing with battles they may not yet have the words for.

As a father to a 2-year-old boy, this has become even more personal. I want my son to grow up knowing that it is okay to struggle mentally. I want him to understand that strength is not pretending everything is fine. Real strength is being honest, speaking up, asking for help, and knowing you do not have to face things alone.

That is why I’m doing this challenge.

My goal is to raise $1,000 as a starting point to help support young people who need connection, understanding, and access to support when they need it most.
