For Anyone Who’s Ever Struggled Quietly
I’m taking on the 20 Hours for 20Talk Challenge — spending 20 hours in complete silence, inside a 2×2 metre square, with no phone, no technology, and no distractions. Just a chair, sleeping mat, journal, water and food.
Honestly, I know this is going to be uncomfortable. Mentally and emotionally. But that’s part of why I wanted to do it.
Mental health is something deeply personal to me. I’ve struggled with my own mental health, and I know how isolating, exhausting and overwhelming it can feel at times. So many people are silently carrying things you’d never know about — anxiety, depression, burnout, loneliness, trauma — while still trying to show up every day like everything is fine.
I’m doing this because I want people to feel more comfortable in their own skin and minds. I want us to end the stigma around mental illness and create a world where asking for help isn’t seen as weakness, but strength.
The reality is:
• Suicide remains the leading cause of death for Australians aged 15–44
• Only 2% of mental health funding goes towards prevention
That’s why I’m supporting 20Talk — a mental health charity focused on prevention, education and making conversations around mental health more accessible, relatable and real for young people.
Donations help fund:
• Free Mental Health Maintenance workshops
• Prevention-focused education programs
• Online resources and support for thousands of young Australians
If you’re able to donate, share, or even just start a conversation around mental health, I’d be incredibly grateful.
And genuinely — if you’re struggling, please know you are never alone in it. 🤍
Thank you so much for reading and supporting me through this challenge.
