20 Hours of Silence for Youth Mental Health.

Hello fellow humans…..⭐️

My name is Millie and I am fundraising for youth mental health awareness by committing to the 20Talk challenge on September 5th!

20 hours to sit/lay/stand in a 2metre space with no tech, no talking and no entertainment.

Imagine a warehouse full of 400 people resonating in silence who have collectively gathered all for a good cause.

This exercise is to help bring forth a snippet of understanding of what it can feel like to experience a loneliness and an isolation when one’s own swirling thoughts and inner dialogue takes the stage.

Those who know me understand that mental health is a topic extremely close to my heart.

Let us work together to help disintegrate what I refer to as grief ghosting, and encourage people to openly and honestly discuss and share those dark places of which we can all find ourselves falling into…either on occasion or as an ongoing daunting shadow.

We all deserve safe spaces in which we can be vulnerable, emotionally expressive and accepted for all the colourful pieces of our personalities.
