AWARENESS. AUTHENTICITY. ACCOUNTABILITY. CHANGE.
On March 28th, I’ll step into a 2 metre square box for 20 hours. No technology, no talking - just a chair, a journal and my own thoughts.
It sounds simple. It isn’t.
Most of us avoid uninterrupted time with ourselves. We stay distracted. Busy. Entertained. Numb. This challenge removes all of that.
It forces me to confront what I feel, and more importantly, why I feel it.
No noise. No performance. No escape.
Ultimately, the challenge asks a simple question:
Have you ever faced yourself - without filters?
Suicide remains the leading cause of death for Australians aged 15-44. Yet only 2% of mental health funding goes toward prevention (Mental Health Commission, 2022).
We talk about awareness constantly.
The outcomes haven’t shifted enough.
I believe mental health culture will not improve until we normalise accountability - personally and collectively.
Not blame. Not shame.
Honesty.
The willingness to look at our patterns, our choices and our coping mechanisms without dressing them up as something else.
Prevention starts there.
20Talk focuses on prevention through relatable, education-based campaigns - for young people, by young people.
If you choose to donate, here’s exactly where your contribution will go:
• Putting young people through Mental Health Maintenance courses
• Expanding 20Talk’s online resources and growing its 60,000+ community
• Running large-scale, interactive mental health events
Prevention isn’t passive. It requires action.
If you’re in a position to donate or share, I appreciate your support.

Great job with raising awareness and contributing your support for young peoples mental health! Steller work!
