This June, I’m excited to be participating in 20Talk’s 20Hours event. This event will see me sitting in a 2x2 metre square, for 20hrs in silence with just the essentials. A swag, chair, water bottle, and journal—no talking, no distractions, just ourselves in each other’s presence.
As part of this challenge, my goal is to raise $1,000 towards 20Talk’s mission which is to empower young adults aged 18-30 by integrating essential mental health tools and skills into their lives.
Since I was little, my mind has always worked in its own beautifully unique way. I’ve always felt things deeply and carried a mind that rarely switches off. Over the years, diagnoses like OCD, ADHD, and an eating disorder have helped me better understand myself, but they’ve also brought some dark moments.
If you’ve ever struggled silently in your mind, you’ll know how isolating it can feel. This event encourages participants to tap into this feeling. I will never stop advocating for Mental Health and am grateful to participate in 20Talk’s Event.
