20 Hours, One Box, No Distractions
On 29 March, I’m taking on a challenge that is going to be incredibly uncomfortable: I’ll be sitting in a 2-metre square box for 20 hours. No phone, no music, no talking. Just me, a chair, and a journal.
Why am I doing this?
This cause isn't just something I support, it’s something I live. I’ve struggled with my own mental health in the past, it’s a journey I’m still navigating today, and will likely continue navigating for the rest of my life.
I know firsthand how it feels when your own mind becomes a place you want to escape from. Mental health struggles can feel like being trapped in a box: dark, lonely, and deeply confronting. This 20-hour challenge is a small, physical representation of that internal battle, and a way for me to turn my own experiences into something that helps others.
I’m completing 20 Hours for 20Talk to help change the narrative. By improving mental health literacy, we aren't just reacting to the problem, we’re preventing it.
