Tristan's is taking on the 20-hour challenge to support youth mental health and raise awareness about the importance of prevention.

Let me introduce myself

Most of you know me through Smash and Dash WA, serving up burgers and having a laugh, but this September I'm stepping right out of my comfort zone.

I've applied to take part in the 2026 20 Hours for 20Talk challenge at Claremont Showgrounds.

The challenge is simple on paper – sit inside a two-metre square for 20 straight hours in complete silence. No phone. No music. No social media. No distractions. Just your own thoughts.

As a husband, a dad, and someone juggling family life, work and running a small business, I know life can get pretty hectic. We all have moments where things feel heavy, but not everyone feels comfortable talking about it.

That's why I want to take on this challenge.

Mental health affects so many people, and the work 20Talk does to support young Australians is something I genuinely believe in. I’ve been selected which means I'll be spending 20 hours in silence while raising funds and awareness for youth mental health.

It's going to be tough, but that's exactly why I'm doing it.

Over the coming months I'll be sharing more about the challenge and fundraising efforts. If you'd like to support me, whether it's through a donation, sharing my fundraiser or simply checking in on the people around you, I'd really appreciate it.
